Legacy Account Conversion

This notice applies to all customers whose accounts were created on or before May 31st, 2008

IHS Web Solutions has always been built on better service to customers. Due to increasing costs related to maintaining a high-quality network of servers and equipment, IHS will begin converting all legacy accounts (accounts created before May 31st, 2008) to standard accounts. This conversion will take place between October 1st, 2008 and May 31st, 2010. We will contact you at least 60 days before your account is scheduled to be converted.

Because of the inconsistency of account creation prior to May 31st, 2008, this change will affect each customer differently. In all cases, we will work to ensure that the quality and features of your hosting account remains equal to or greater than your current legacy plan.

IHS Web Solutions now offers five (5) hosting plans, each designed for a specific type of customer. The plans are; Elements, Personal, Small Business, Enterprise, and Reseller. Our Elements hosting plan is sufficient for most bloggers, and as of May 31st, 2008, costs just $3.95 per month. We are confident that even with our new hosting plans & prices, we offer far more value for the price than our competitors.

Below are important legal statements:

Legacy Accounts

All accounts created before May 31st, 2008 are considered legacy accounts. Legacy accounts cannot be customized (for instance, if you begin exceeding your bandwidth, you will need to convert to a standard plan. Add-ons are not available for Legacy accounts). Legacy accounts will be converted to standard accounts no later than May 31st, 2010. At the time of conversion, legacy plans will be converted to current hosting plans offered by IHS Web Solutions, and at the prices published as of the date of conversion. Legacy customers wishing to move to an alternate hosting company may do so with 30 days written notice.

Suspension

Activity which results in a suspension or deactivation of an account will result in a forfeiture of fees paid. Late or non-payment, explicit materials, and abuses of an account will be grounds for suspension. All legacy accounts (accounts created before May 31st, 2008) that are suspended for non-payment or breach of the Terms of Use will be reinstated solely at the discretion of IHS Web Solutions and at the current published price for hosting as of the date of reinstatement.

Cancellation

Cancellation can be made via email to support@ihswebsolutions.com. Although no notice is required, and there is no cancellation fee, all fees paid for service up to the notice of cancellation are non-refundable. If cancellation is made within the first 30 days of service all hosting fees will be refunded. This does not include fees for domain registration.
